Babuscu, AK Party Istanbul Provincial President, being the architect of the 100.000 people congress, said: Everybody, including ten thousands of people came to the stadium and those performing the works, were insured’.

Aziz Babuscu, the architect of AK Party Istanbul Provincial Congress, which brought ten thousands of the party members on the ARENA, spoke to AKSAM. Babuscu, who told the preparation process and their experiences on the congress day, said: “I cried when I entered in the stadium and saw that crowd”. Babuscu said:

- We planned everything before the congress. I misdoubted about rain and access problem mostly. I prayed very much for absence of rain on the congress day. My prayers came true. It was not easy to transport 100.000 people to the stadium. Since the stadium has one entrance, I was afraid of blockage of both sides of TEM and experience of a fiasco. However, we achieved to transport ten thousands of people to the stadium with the efforts of my friends.

I COULD NOT PREVENT MY TEARS
- The tribune works, performed by us before the congress, proved fruitful. The enthusiasm was perfect. I believe that we reached the highest sound level with our Prime Minister in respect of sound. However, we could not perform decibel measurement.
- I had fearful dreams one night before the congress. I had concerns in my mind. I got up in the morning and read my speech for a few times in the empty hall. I got information from the friends in the stadium when I was at home. Then, I came to the provincial building and started to follow up activities from there. I could not sit down on my seat. 
- We planned entries in the stadium as 11.00 nearly. However, they delayed. I started to worry. People started to enter in the stadium at about 12.00. I took the road with my wife from the Provincial Presidency to the stadium. I was panic when I saw the traffic. I thought that people could not enter in the stadium. I entered in the stadium; it was jam-packed. I started to greet the visitors and could not prevent my tears, I cried. I cried by praising.
- Our Prime Minister asked for a few times before arriving the stadium “What is the status?”. I said him: “There is no problem, everything is as we planned”. I could see the excitement on is face when he entered in the stadium. It made me very happy.

WE HAVE INSURED THE SYSTEM
- We are an organization doing a work with an amateur spirit. We transported people by 2 thousand 120 buses. We worked with a team of nearly 5 thousand persons with a responsible person on each bus.
- We have insured the system as is. Everybody, including 10 thousands of visitors of the congress and those performing the works, were insured. Possible losses and damages to the stadium, during the congress, were also insured.

2014 target in Istanbul is 55 percent
- We replaced more than 50 percent of the management on the congress. We start the works for 2014 with a distribution of duties. Our target is to raise the level of success more in 2014. We desire to win Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, which we won with 49 percent, with minimum 55 percent. In addition, there are the municipalities we lost when we supported AK Party. We desire to win them again. We intend to properly plan the districts which have never met with AK Party municipality such as Buyukcekmece, Atasehir, Avcilar strategically and set a target with them. In addition, Kadikoy, Besiktas…

THE DISTRICT MUNICIPALITIES SHALL BE ASKED TO THE PUBLIC
- We shall conduct a research on the elector profile for our district municipalities. We shall evaluate the current mayors with this public opinion poll. We provide service but we shall see perception of the public. We have mayors with shortcomings on the basis of public relations. We know it. Maybe they do not know it but we shall remind them.
- Problem of the parties, which failed to fill one third of the congress halls, is ethical and factious dissociations.
- I have soundly slept for the first time last night (previous night) after many days.
